Common misconceptions about B0T0X treatment
- Contrary to common myths, the treatment does not paralyse your muscles. We only block nerve signal transmission temporarily, so we do not cause any harmful effect to the muscles or nerves.
- “My face will look frozen” - When applied in the right amount and with tiny injections, the patient’s face will not look frozen and facial expressions will not disappear. At the same time, we can smooth deeper forehead lines and crow’s feet.
- “B0T0X is poison” - Botulinum toxin is essentially a protein-type substance produced by an anaerobic bacterium. In very small doses, it is an extremely effective tool in the fight against wrinkles, and in the right place and dose it also works excellently as a medicine.

What materials do we work with?
At our clinic, we use Dysport to smooth wrinkles. It is produced through the fermentation of the type A Clostridium botulinum bacterium. Dysport is a modern cosmetic product that is widely and successfully used in medicine and aesthetic cosmetology.
Information and warnings before using Dysport
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.
If you receive treatment for moderate/severe vertical lines between the eyebrows:
Common: headache, reactions at the injection site (including pain, bruising, itching, sensory disturbances, redness and rash),
Possible: eye fatigue, drooping eyelid, eyelid oedema, increased tearing, dry eyes, muscle twitching, facial nerve paralysis, muscle weakness at the injection site, which often leads to drooping eyelids and eye fatigue, and less commonly to paralysis of the facial muscles and visual disturbances.
Uncommon: blurred vision, double vision, visual disturbances, hypersensitivity, dizziness, skin rashes, itching.
Rare: eye movement disorders, hives.
Most of the above side effects are mild and temporary. If they occur, they usually appear a few days after the injection and generally resolve within 2–4 weeks.
If you experience any side effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to any possible side effects not listed above.
Tell your doctor:
- if there is any change or worsening in your symptoms
- if you are allergic to any ingredient of Dysport powder for solution for injection
- if skin rashes or flu-like symptoms occurred after a previous injection of Clostridium botulinum type A toxin-haemagglutinin complex
- if you have a blood clotting disorder, or if there is infection or inflammation at the planned injection site, as in such cases Dysport powder for solution for injection may only be used when absolutely necessary
- if you have a disorder of neuromuscular transmission (e.g. myasthenia gravis), or swallowing or breathing difficulties. In such cases, Dysport powder for solution for injection may only be used with increased caution and under very careful medical supervision.
Consult your doctor immediately if you experience problems related to swallowing, speaking or breathing.
In patients treated with Dysport powder for solution for injection, the formation of antibodies against Clostridium botulinum type A toxin has rarely been observed. This is thought to play a role in an insufficient therapeutic response and may require an increase in dose.
Dysport 300 U powder for solution for injection contains a small amount of albumin extracted from human blood. The risk of viral infection cannot be completely ruled out when human blood or substances extracted from it are used as a medicine.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant/breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, talk to your doctor before using this medicine.
Dysport powder for solution for injection should not be used during pregnancy unless it is absolutely necessary. Dysport injections are also not recommended during breastfeeding.
Effects of the medicine on the ability to drive and use machines:
Due to the areas in which this medicine is used, it may cause side effects that could adversely affect your ability to drive or use machines. Therefore, your doctor will determine in each case how long you should wait before you can safely take part in traffic or operate potentially dangerous machinery.
Seek urgent medical help if:
You develop difficulty breathing with swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat, with redness of the skin and itchy, raised rashes (hives), or even without these symptoms. This may mean that you are having an allergic reaction to Dysport powder for solution for injection.

The use of B0T0X is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as protecting the baby’s health is the most important priority during this period. The procedure should also be avoided in certain neurological diseases and muscle or nervous system disorders, as these may affect the result of the treatment.
If you have previously experienced an allergic reaction to any ingredient, or if there is acute inflammation or infection on the affected skin area, B0T0X treatment is also not recommended.

Treatment process
How does B0T0X treatment work?
Before starting the treatment, we discuss in detail which areas you would like to improve and assess what result can be achieved in your case. Then, using a fine injection needle, we inject the appropriate amount of B0T0X into the pre-defined points. The substance temporarily inhibits the activity of the facial muscles, which allows the skin to smooth out and the wrinkles to visibly soften or disappear completely.
The procedure is quick and performed entirely on an outpatient basis, so no special preparation or recovery time is needed. The procedure itself takes only 10–15 minutes, and most people describe it as virtually painless – at most, you may feel a sensation similar to a tiny mosquito bite.
After the treatment
What should you pay attention to after B0T0X treatment?
- For mild redness, swelling, a burning sensation or small bruises that may occur after the treatment, we recommend using an ice pack wrapped in sterile fabric and applying comfrey cream, which you can buy at any pharmacy.
- From the second day after the treatment, make-up and lipstick may be used, but sunbathing, sauna and solarium should be avoided for one further week.
- We also recommend resting your skin for three weeks after the treatment and avoiding various cosmetic procedures.

What is a B0T0X treatment, and how is it different from other wrinkle-reducing procedures?
During a B0T0X treatment, an active ingredient that temporarily inhibits the function of the mimic muscles is injected under the skin using a fine needle. As a result, wrinkles are smoothed out and the skin gains a younger, firmer appearance. Unlike other wrinkle-reducing procedures (e.g. hyaluronic acid fillers, thread lifting), B0T0X does not focus on restoring volume or tightening the skin, but on reducing the muscle movements responsible for wrinkle formation.
What types of wrinkles does B0T0X treat effectively?
B0T0X primarily treats so-called dynamic wrinkles caused by the activity of the mimic muscles. It is especially effective for smoothing forehead wrinkles, frown lines between the eyebrows (“11 lines”), and crow’s feet (laugh lines around the eyes).
How does the treatment work – anaesthesia, pain, duration?
The treatment is a quick outpatient procedure, usually taking 10–15 minutes. Anaesthesia is not necessary, as the fine needle pricks cause very little discomfort. Most patients compare the sensation to a mosquito bite.
How long does it take to see the first results?
You can usually notice the first changes within 2–3 days, while the final effect develops in about 7–10 days.
How long does the effect last, and when is a repeat treatment recommended?
The effect of the treatment lasts for an average of 3–6 months, after which the mimic muscles gradually regain their function. To maintain a fresh, youthful appearance, repeat treatment is recommended 2–3 times a year.
What possible side effects or complications may occur?
The treatment is generally safe, and side effects may be mild and temporary, such as small bruises, swelling, redness, or a mild headache. A rare complication is temporary eyelid drooping, which can be almost completely avoided with the proper technique.
Are there any lifestyle or activity-related instructions after the treatment?
Yes, for the best possible results:
- Do not rub or massage the treated area during the first 24 hours.
- Avoid sauna, solarium, and intense exercise during the first 2–3 days.
- Make sure you do not lie down in the first few hours, so the active ingredient does not move from the injection site.
Who is B0T0X especially recommended for (and who is it not recommended for)?
It is recommended for anyone who would like to smooth already developed mimic wrinkles, as well as for people in their 20s and 30s for preventive purposes, to help prevent the formation of deeper, static wrinkles.
It is not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection, certain neurological or muscle disorders, or in case of allergy.
Can I wear makeup or use a sauna after the treatment?
Light makeup can be used safely from the day after the treatment. However, sauna, solarium, and intense exercise are recommended only after a few days.
